Overview:

This role is a key part of our logistics and transportation team, responsible for evaluating and processing carrier invoices, using various systems and data files. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and problem-solving shipping and delivery inquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle on-hand shipments, returns, reconsignments, refusals, address corrections, and invalid account numbers with carriers and/or customer service.
  • Work closely with customer service, warehouses, and plants, accounts receivable, and external auditors researching shipping and delivery inquiries.
  • Work with small parcel carriers (UPS and FedEx) creating call-tags, return shipments, and researching tracking information.

Key Tasks:

  • Obtain supporting documents as needed to verify delivery information, shipping information, and billing information.
  • File claims for lost or damaged shipments and create monthly summary reports on overages, shortages, and damages.
  • Assist with freight auditing and quotations, and freight/financial reporting as needed.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes in technology.
  • Required a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize tasks.
