Job Summary

Milestone Recovery is seeking a skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team in Portland. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide direct treatment services to individuals experiencing substance use disorders, mental illnesses, and homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive treatment services, including screening, intake, and psychosocial assessment
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including referrals to other agencies and services
  • Run groups for detox clients and provide individual counseling
  • Assess and develop client care plans, including transportation and accompaniment to other community providers
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records and reports

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Active state license as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience in the field of chronic substance use is a plus
