Job Overview

We are seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to undertake complex accounting responsibilities that necessitate advanced professional expertise, knowledge, and skills in accounting principles and practices. This position is tasked with creating management reports and systems that support decision-making for management and the Board.

This role requires on-site presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President / Chief Financial Officer, the Lead Financial Analyst will oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing preparation of risk-based reporting frameworks for the Lending sectors of the credit union. This role will assist in the timely preparation and analysis of month-end closings and financial statements. Responsibilities include inputting Asset Liability data into the ALM model and generating reports for the monthly Asset Liability Committee (ALCO) meeting. The analyst will primarily manage Third-Party Vendor Management and the Current Expected Credit Losses software. Additionally, this position will serve as a liaison to state and federal examiners, as well as external CPA firm auditors. The Lead Financial Analyst will also support the SVP/CFO in preparing the annual budget and conduct various complex financial analyses, providing detailed reports to Senior Management and the Board.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting data analytics and ALM within a financial institution, ideally in a credit union.
  • Proven ability to lead, collaborate with others, inspire confidence, and work effectively within a management team.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial and data analysis, as well as proficiency in relevant PC applications.
  • Highly organized and efficient.

PAY RANGE

In accordance with California's Pay Transparency Act (SB 1162), the anticipated salary range for this position is between:

$88,200 - $151,410

Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, including knowledge, skills, education, experience, internal equity considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
