The Development Lab Bench Chemist plays a crucial role in the creation of new organic chemical synthesis manufacturing processes and enhancing existing ones.
This position also involves addressing manufacturing challenges and product quality concerns while providing technical support to clients.
Responsibilities include planning and executing laboratory projects and research initiatives.
In this role, you will assemble laboratory apparatus, conduct experiments, meticulously observe and document experimental details, and compile results in memos, reports, and other technical formats.
Additionally, you will perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and manage the procurement of necessary supplies and components for chemical synthesis experiments.
Collaboration with external clients and internal colleagues is essential.
Utilizing a range of sophisticated laboratory instruments, you will conduct research and development experiments (such as automated reactor systems and data acquisition). Safety and environmental considerations, along with effectiveness and efficiency, are paramount when designing and executing experiments.
Candidate ProfileIdeal candidates will demonstrate strong initiative, self-direction, and a commitment to follow-through. A B.S. in Chemistry is preferred, along with relevant experience. Candidates with a B.A. in Chemistry or related fields may be considered based on their coursework and experience.
