We are seeking a highly skilled PhD Analytical Chemist to join our Chemical Technology Team at FutureFuel Chemical Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing analytical services to support chemical development projects, manufacturing process improvement, and production troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement new analytical methods to support chemical development projects
- Improve existing analytical methods to enhance process efficiency and product quality
- Ensure the accuracy, precision, and robustness of analytical instruments and methods
- Collaborate with development, manufacturing, and other personnel to communicate analytical results and recommendations
- Support the implementation of and compliance with laboratory quality systems/standards, including ISO9001, BQ9000, and cGMP
- PhD in Analytical Chemistry with emphasis on separations
- At least five years of industry experience developing GC-MS, LC-MS, and other chromatographic methods and associated detectors
- At least one year of experience as a chemist working in a cGMP or 17025-accredited laboratory
- Able to adapt literature procedures to analytical methods
- Strong ability to interpret analytical data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience as a group leader
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Experience in microscopy and grant proposal writing is desirable
