POSITION SUMMARY:

The role is designed to further the mission of PATH by assisting individuals in achieving greater independence and fulfillment through effective teamwork. As a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS), you will provide crisis intervention, support, safety planning, and resource linkage to youth and families in the Northeast Philadelphia area. This program operates 24/7 throughout the year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the Behavioral Health sector.
  • Certification as a Peer Specialist in Pennsylvania.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to receive the vaccine is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct crisis assessments, interventions, education, and support in collaboration with assigned team members, adhering to designated timelines for referrals from DBH/CBH.
  • Utilize personal lived experience as a CPS to connect with individuals in crisis and assist in developing effective crisis support plans.
  • Implement approved evidence-based practices and tools for crisis assessment and intervention, following SAMHSA guidelines and resolution models.
