Job Title: Anti-Trafficking Peer Coordinator

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Anti-Trafficking Peer Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will provide intensive peer support to survivors of human trafficking, utilizing your lived experience and expertise to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by this devastating issue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the goals, strengths, and needs of survivors assigned to you, conducting thorough biopsychosocial assessments and providing individualized support.
  • Collaborate with multiple partnerships, including WRAP court and Police Assisted Diversion Program, to provide comprehensive survivor-centered services and mentorship.
  • Develop and facilitate survivor support groups monthly, creating a safe and supportive environment for survivors to share their experiences and connect with others.
  • Supervise the Anti-Trafficking Peer Mentor, providing weekly trauma-informed supervision and guidance.
  • Facilitate monthly Survivor Advisory Board meetings, ensuring that survivors have a voice in the development of our services and programs.
  • Provide services in compliance with the ethical principles of the Pennsylvania Certification Board, maintaining a full-time caseload of 6-12 clients and providing trauma-informed support, education, and lived expertise.
  • Make referrals for clients to outside agencies, including housing, drug and alcohol recovery services, medical services, mental health services, financial assistance, and educational/job training services.
  • Timely and accurate documentation of progress, problems, and services in the client record and database, ensuring confidentiality and ongoing data collection and entry into Service Point for all cases.
  • Utilize a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to client interaction, grounded in the Sanctuary Model.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Peer Specialist or Certified Recovery Specialist certification required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One to two years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and the Sanctuary Model preferred.
  • Bilingual, Spanish/English, preferred.
  • Driver's License preferred.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Word and Excel required.
  • Ability to negotiate the internet and maintain confidentiality.
  • Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153, including PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
