Job Summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St Paul and Minneapolis is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to serve as a Client Advocate II at our Mary Frey Opportunity Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver high-quality service to all individuals by completing client requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a Safe and Secure Environment: Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and secure by utilizing conflict resolution and de-escalation skills to defuse crisis situations.
  • Collect and Manage Client Data: Accurately collect, enter, manage, and report client data into systems of record.
  • Respond to Incidents: Submit incident reports for all instances of chemical abuse, theft, threats, and violations of program rules.
  • Serve as a Mandated Reporter: Report any instances of child or adult abuse to the appropriate authorities.
  • Conduct Regular Rounds: Check all exits, fire doors, and safety equipment, as well as monitor residents' activities in common areas to ensure safety and security.
  • Assist with Program Development: Collaborate with supervisors and managers to develop and implement programs and services.
  • Provide Training and Support: Assist with mentoring and position-specific training, as required.
Requirements
  • Experience Working with Low-Income Populations: Ability to work with individuals who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness.
  • Education and Certification: High school graduate or equivalent, and ability to accurately enter data into computer systems for reporting purposes.
  • Background Check: Must be 21 years of age and successfully pass a criminal and Department of Human Services background check, if required by program license.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
