Position Overview:

Job Title: Youth Engagement Coordinator
Department: Amateur Hockey and Community Development
Reports To: Senior Manager of Amateur Hockey and Community Development
Status: Exempt

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of the Nashville Predators Kids Club, including the development of annual packages and marketing strategies aimed at member retention and new acquisitions.
  • Design and implement engaging monthly events for Kids Club members and their families, focusing on interactive experiences.
  • Manage logistics for Kids Club membership packages, including order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with Fan Development team to enhance community engagement through events and programs.
  • Develop and coordinate street hockey initiatives, including leagues and clinics, to promote the sport within the Nashville area.
  • Organize team signing events, ensuring effective inventory management and distribution.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events, such as Gnash's birthday celebration, in partnership with the marketing team.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for effective event planning and administration of amateur hockey programs.
  • Maintain timely communication regarding customer inquiries and feedback, providing assistance as needed.
  • Support efforts to exceed registration goals for amateur hockey and community development programs through innovative strategies.
  • Manage the NHL and Nashville Predators EverFi/Future Goals program, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Identify and develop grassroots initiatives to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Foster community relations and collaborate with various departments to enhance visibility of Youth Hockey and Community Development programs.
  • Demonstrate a passion for hockey and a commitment to cultivating new fans of the sport.
  • Coordinate a summer reading initiative in partnership with local schools and libraries to encourage youth participation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Amateur Hockey and Community Development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least two years of experience in a professional sports environment or youth-focused organization.
  • Proven ability to creatively design, coordinate, and assess youth programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with children and young adults in a positive manner.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain relevant certifications, including USA Hockey Volunteer/Manager and SafeSport.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational abilities and initiative.
  • Effective time management skills and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with experience managing various tasks under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented planner with a proactive approach and a sense of urgency.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous hockey experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a background check as part of the hiring process.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record are required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
  • Capable of working under tight deadlines and in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical activities include sitting, walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Exposure to varying environmental conditions, including bright lights and loud noises.
  • Ability to work in cooler environments.
