Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Registered Nurse, the LPN will be responsible for providing nursing care to assigned patient populations. This will involve organizing patient care, setting priorities, and assisting with the provision of patient care as established within the framework of Practice Acts.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the collection of data from various sources to enhance clinical decisions about treatments and nursing interventions.
- Provide feedback to the Registered Nurse in the development of nursing diagnoses and carry out the established plan of care.
- Carry out therapeutic interventions established in the interdisciplinary plan of care and document patient responses to interventions.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing care and therapies, and document responses according to hospital standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and assist in achieving unit-specific nurse-sensitive indicators, core measures, and national patient safety goals.
- Current State LPN License
- Associates Degree
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical setting (preferred)
- Preferred Licensure or other certifications
- Preferred Educational Requirements
- Preferred Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical setting
- Weight Lifted: Up to 100 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time
- Weight Carried: Up to 50 lbs, Occasionally 0-30% of time
- Vision: Moderate, Frequently 31-65% of time
- Kneeling/Stooping/Bending: Frequently 31-65%
