Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

At Northeast Georgia Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join our team. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to assigned patient populations. This includes organizing patient care, setting priorities, and assisting with the provision of patient care as established within the framework of the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with data collection and provide feedback to the Registered Nurse from a variety of sources to enhance clinical decisions about treatments and nursing interventions.
  • Obtain data sensitive to cultural diversity, ethnicity, age, gender, and lifestyle choices from multiple sources including the patient, significant other, healthcare providers, and medical records.
  • Carry out therapeutic interventions established in the interdisciplinary plan of care and implement interventions with safety, skill, and efficiency.
  • Document patient response to interventions according to hospital standards and teach the patient and significant other regarding needs identified on admission and during the hospitalization.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, research findings, and evidence-based practice to improve clinical care and contribute to a healthy and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Current State LPN License
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of ten (10) hours of continuing nursing education annually in addition to the 20 hours of mandatory licensure requirement
  • New graduate LPNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the LPN residency program
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience
