Community Inclusion Assistant

As a Recreation Assistant at Eden Autism Services, you will play a vital role in our community-based after-school program, supporting students with autism in developing essential life skills. You will work closely with a certified teacher to create a positive and engaging environment, promoting socialization and independence among participants.
You will be responsible for accompanying students on various activities, implementing behavior support programs, and documenting student progress. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering strong relationships and collaboration within the team. Additionally, you will participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with autism.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, a patient and empathetic demeanor, and excellent interpersonal skills. While prior experience is desirable, we welcome entry-level candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Salary: approximately $45,000 - $55,000 per annum (based on 20 hours/week), depending on qualifications and experience.
