Senior Vice President - Head of Cardio and Neuro Research

About the Role:

Meet is seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President to lead our Cardio and Neuro research program. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of our lipidomics research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with our company's scientific and business objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of scientists and researchers to drive excellence in lipidomics research.
  • Research and Development: Oversee the design, execution, and interpretation of lipidomics studies to elucidate disease mechanisms and identify biomarkers.
  • Collaboration: Foster collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to advance lipidomics research and development initiatives.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies in lipidomics and evaluate their potential applications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all lipidomics research activities.
  • Communication and Presentation: Effectively communicate scientific findings and progress to senior management and external audiences.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage the lipidomics research budget and resources efficiently to optimize productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmacology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (minimum 5-10 years) in lipidomics research, with a focus on lipid metabolism and lipid-related diseases.
  • Proven track record of scientific innovation, evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with previous experience leading multidisciplinary research teams.
  • Expertise in lipidomics methodologies, including mass spectrometry and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
