We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to engage in the intricate process of terminating fiber optic cable products, resulting in high-quality fiber optic cable assemblies. This role emphasizes precision and manual skill, with comprehensive training provided for the following responsibilities:

  • Preparing fiber optic cables for termination
  • Stripping optical fibers in readiness for connectors
  • Mixing epoxy to ensure secure and quality connections
  • Attaching connectors to the fiber
  • Scribing fibers and polishing connectors
  • Conducting inspections of final connectors and assessing connection quality
  • Testing the finished products

A Day In The Life

As a vital member of our production team, you will:

  • Fabricate components for fiber assemblies at designated workstations
  • Utilize tools such as crimpers, wire cutters, and digital calipers to assemble units according to customer specifications and manufacturing instructions
  • Collaborate effectively under the guidance of production leads or supervisors
  • Accurately log job hours into the company database
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employment Manual
  • Perform all tasks reliably and professionally
  • Strive to meet or exceed production timelines
  • Learn to navigate the ERP operating system relevant to production tasks
  • Follow written instructions to ensure compliance with product specifications
  • Aim to achieve company objectives, including high quality, safety, and 6S practices within the workspace
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned
