Position Summary
The Family Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and training Family Service Counselors, fostering professional relationships with client families to ensure all needs are met and that options regarding interment verifications, memorials, and services exceed family expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform duties with professionalism and compassion, maintaining personal appearance, honesty, integrity, and ethical business practices.
- Conduct tours and guide families to cemetery lot locations.
- Build relationships, ensure exceptional service, and develop potential referrals by attending services and visitations; schedule and conduct aftercare appointments to guarantee client family satisfaction and obtain referrals.
- Ensure compliance with state and industry regulations, adhering to company policies by accurately completing required documentation and conducting random audits.
- Maintain strict adherence to pricing structures, meeting required timelines for submitting contracts and payments.
- Report progress to the Sales Manager and submit all required reports promptly.
- Follow up with Counselors to ensure memorial renderings and processes are met.
- Actively pursue the development of new prospects and community contacts through presentations highlighting services and the benefits of pre-need arrangements.
- Maintain positive communication and cooperation with all departments to ensure service excellence.
- Consistently meet or exceed company standards in revenue generation to maintain employment and benefits eligibility.
- Protect confidentiality of company and client family information.
- Participate in all required training initiatives.
- Communicate facts and information clearly in written or spoken formats to Counselors.
- Support co-workers through coaching, training, and prioritization.
- Ensure co-workers are familiar with the company’s Mission Statement and safety procedures.
- Work productively with minimal supervision to achieve objectives in a timely manner.
- Respond positively to new initiatives or changes in priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Certification in all processes related to the family service guidebook.
- Proven success in outside sales production preferred.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license in good standing.

- Fluency in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Professional demeanor in accordance with employer requirements.
- Willingness to engage in community involvement to grow market share.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Supervisory Role
This position includes direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements
Employees in this role may work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with outdoor duties requiring exposure to various weather conditions and physical activities.
Travel Requirements
This position may involve limited local travel during business hours.
