Job Description

Cognizant North America is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Sales Professional to join our team. As a Cloud Sales Professional, you will be responsible for building long-term relationships with our customers, partnering with account teams and other internal business groups, and working with Google Cloud partner contacts to drive adoption and market penetration.

The ideal candidate will possess a strategic perspective to drive industry-specific discussions and engagements with CXOs and BU leaders, as well as technical depth to interact and understand the language of software developers and IT architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the industry portfolio's business development, TCV, and revenue quota targets for the practice.
  • Lead industry advisory and sales with Google Cloud.
  • Own lead generation and deal shaping.
  • Engage with Cognizant Market teams, Google Cloud Field sales, and both partner organizations.
  • Drive partner-sourced opportunities.
  • Execute against proactive GTM sales plays with Google Cloud.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of technology-related sales or business development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in selling cloud and/or technology transformation services.
  • Ability to identify target accounts, work the channels, and gain the opportunity to identify where we can contribute, all the way through to closing the deal.
  • Experience successfully closing deals in the $1m to $20m range.
  • Proven track record of opening and winning business at new client accounts and in winning new business from existing accounts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience of driving $5M+ Cloud business and large Cloud deals - $10M+.
  • Cloud certifications (GCP, Azure, AWS) are a huge plus.
  • Strong knowledge of the IT managed services space and competitive landscape.
  • Experience selling, building, managing, and measuring a virtual/geographically dispersed sales organization.
  • Prior experience in selling GCP, AWS, Azure, or IaaS products and services to F1000 clients for a consulting organization.
