We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Certified Doula to join our team at AtlantiCare. As a Doula, you will provide emotional, physical, and informational support to women and their families during the prenatal, labor, and postpartum periods.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to pregnant patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring informed decision-making and optimal care.
- Assist with childbirth education classes, breastfeeding initiatives, and inter-conception care.
- Screen for postpartum depression, food insecurities, intimate partner violence, and medical risk factors.
- Collaborate with the Maternal Child Health Social Worker to make referrals to community resources as needed.
- Completion of an approved birth doula certification training.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- At least 1 year of practical experience in a related field.
- Valid NJ driver's license required.
This role requires working in a hospital or home environment, with potential exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous substances, and physical demands such as standing, sitting, and lifting.
