Position Summary: The Housing Support Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents. This position requires a compassionate, trauma-informed individual who is adept at managing diverse situations with cultural sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a clean, safe, and secure environment for all residents and staff.
  2. Lead the orientation and training of new Housing Support Representatives.
  3. Collaborate with management to enforce program policies and procedures.
  4. Provide assistance in staffing coverage as needed across various shifts.
  5. Utilize conflict resolution skills to manage and de-escalate crisis situations effectively.
  6. Engage with community programs to enhance the visibility of our services and build strong partnerships.
  7. Assist in the development and evaluation of program initiatives in collaboration with management.
  8. Deliver professional front desk services, including:
    1. Managing incoming communications.
    2. Addressing resident inquiries and ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
    3. Overseeing visitor policies and processes.
    4. Providing support in areas such as maintenance requests and resource referrals.
    5. Conducting regular safety checks throughout the facility.
    6. Identifying opportunities to enhance the resident experience.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of relevant experience working with low-income populations, including those facing housing instability or mental health challenges.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to engage with diverse populations facing significant life challenges.
  • Strong commitment to resident satisfaction and ethical integrity.
  • Proficient in de-escalation techniques within a supportive environment.
  • Competent in data entry for reporting purposes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Classification: Regular; Full-Time; Hourly; Non-Exempt

CPR Certification: Required

Driving Requirement: Yes

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance.
  • No requirement for physically restraining clients.
