Small Business Financial Solutions Consultant

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow and deepen relationships with small business clients. Your primary focus will be on providing consultative solutions that meet their unique needs and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: You will be managing a portfolio of clients and leveraging your in-depth knowledge of their businesses to uncover their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Sales Collaboration: You will collaborate with sales and support partners across the enterprise to bring in the right resources at the right time to support sales opportunities.
  • Consultative Selling: You will consult with small business clients to understand their business priorities and provide solutions that meet their needs, driving client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Partnership Development: You will partner with credit, treasury, and Merrill product partners to ensure quality relationship assessment, prospect needs, and integrated design and execution of financial solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven Sales Experience: You must have 3-5 years of proven consultative sales experience in financial services, business-to-business sales, or small business banking.
  • Client Management Skills: You must have excellent client management skills, with a proven track record of enhancing existing client relationships and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Financial Analysis: You must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of clients and industry trends, as well as interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis.
  • Communication Skills: You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Technical Skills: You must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough Knowledge: A thorough knowledge of small business financial products and services is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Credit/Lending Solutions: Experience advising business owners on complex credit/lending solutions is also highly desirable.
  • Sales Force Automation: Familiarity with sales force automation tools such as Salesforce.com/ACT and Interact is also preferred.
