Job Overview:
ENSCO is seeking a skilled systems engineer with a focus on aircraft propulsion systems. This role involves providing comprehensive support to the Propulsion Acquisition Division, emphasizing system design, development, integration, and testing of various aircraft engines.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, the selected candidate will:
- Facilitate the systematic transformation of requirements into comprehensive systems solutions, adhering to engineering principles.
- Conduct functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to convert requirements into detailed hardware and software specifications.
- Implement Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to enhance innovation and operational efficiency while aiding in the development, integration, and certification of complex systems.
- Engage in the System Engineering lifecycle, which includes requirements development, architecture formulation, system analyses (reliability, maintainability, etc.), integration and testing strategies, and system validation.
- Utilize various testing, analytical, and simulation tools to evaluate or predict system performance.
- Apply knowledge of propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems, and vehicle fuel and tank systems.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; or 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or no experience required with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field.
- Proven expertise in planning, executing, and reporting on Systems Engineering activities related to propulsion systems.
- Experience across various aspects of aerospace design and development processes, including design, analysis, testing, and integration.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
- U.S. citizenship and a Secret security clearance are mandatory.
