Job Summary

PNC Financial Services Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Tax Credit organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing offerings for complex transactions, interacting with internal and external customers, and providing recommendations for credit structuring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze credit risk assessments for loan and transaction parties, identifying potential risks and mitigants.
  • Develop and implement credit risk management strategies for assigned portfolios, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information, clarify inconsistencies, and resolve issues related to credit risk management.
  • Make recommendations on credit decisions, exercising exception and elevated approval authority as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to ensure the highest level of credit risk management.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in credit risk management, underwriting, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate credit risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of IRS Code Section 42 and 47, equity structures, and documentation, as well as market research and 3rd-party guidelines.
