We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Patient Service Representative to become a part of our Patient Access team.



Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and register patients arriving at the hospital, Emergency Department, and clinics.
- Announce emergency codes through the Emergency Alert System.
- Collect copayments and outstanding balances for current and past visits.
- Handle all incoming switchboard calls for the organization.

Work Schedule:
Full-Time (80 hours bi-weekly)
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

About the Patient Registration Team:
The Patient Registration Team at Fitzgibbon Hospital is an essential component of the organization’s Revenue Cycle. Patient Service Representatives are often the first and last points of contact for patients and visitors, making their role vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere.

These representatives initiate electronic encounters for all patients, ensuring accuracy, which directly influences reimbursement processes. With the ever-evolving requirements of Federal, State, and Private insurances, our team continuously learns and adapts to positively impact reimbursement outcomes.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Preferred: 1 year of customer service experience
- Preferred: Experience in insurance-related roles

Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time
Shift: Days
