Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team at Sutter Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality wound care to patients in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' wound care needs and develop individualized care plans
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Deliver wound care services, including debridement, dressing changes, and wound assessment
- Provide education to patients and families on wound care and management
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions of care
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN licensure in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Wound Care Certified (WCC) certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of recent experience in wound care
- Advanced practice nursing experience
- Knowledge of wound care principles and practices
Work Environment:
This position may require working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
