Job Summary

Job Title: Wound Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team at Sutter Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality wound care to patients in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' wound care needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Deliver wound care services, including debridement, dressing changes, and wound assessment
  • Provide education to patients and families on wound care and management
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions of care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current RN licensure in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Wound Care Certified (WCC) certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of recent experience in wound care
  • Advanced practice nursing experience
  • Knowledge of wound care principles and practices

Work Environment:

This position may require working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
