Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness that provides grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers worldwide. We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Agronomy Sales Representative to join our team in Moses Lake, WA. As a key member of our agriculture organization, you will work closely with farmers, ranchers, and producers to promote the effective use of crop protection products, plant food, seed, and other services offered by our cooperative.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales plans to achieve sales goals and increase profitability through the implementation of sales, marketing, and consulting processes for products and services.
  • Evaluate current customer programs and develop sales and marketing strategies to meet complex business needs while growing the business.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, distribution, operations, technical staff, and credit to enhance the visibility and impact of sales calls and improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Foster positive long-term relationships with suppliers and customers to create repeat business opportunities.
  • Prepare sales presentations, contracts, bids, and proposals to ensure successful transaction outcomes. Provide training to staff and customers.
  • Demonstrate effective cross-selling success by achieving progressive customer share of wallet for multiple product lines. Apply the CHS sales cycle to achieve targeted results.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing complaints and inquiries in a courteous and professional manner. Lead sales projects and act as a mentor to less experienced sales staff.
  • Develop knowledge of multiple products and apply this knowledge in all aspects of the job. Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma and/or GED
  • 2+ years of sales, business development, business operations, or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agronomy sales experience
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or a related field
  • Outside sales experience, including presentations, persuasive negotiation skills, customer service, conflict resolution, and working independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package, including a base wage and potential bonus, incentives, and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors, including experience, education, training, specialized skills, and certifications.
