Clinical Perioperative Specialist

ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Perioperative Specialist. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
About the RoleThis position requires a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse who can provide high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting. As a Clinical Perioperative Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to surgical patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in perioperative nursing.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of surgical specialties and cases, honing your clinical skills and expertise. You will also be involved in educational activities, such as preceptorship programs and competency assessments, to support the development of our nurses.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced nurse who is committed to providing outstanding patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in the perioperative setting, including preoperative preparation, intraoperative management, and postoperative recovery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in perioperative nursing.
- Contribute to educational activities, such as preceptorship programs and competency assessments, to support the development of our nurses.
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A BSN degree or commitment to obtaining within three years of hire.
- Current RN licensure.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS and PALS certification within six months of hire.
- At least two years of experience in perianesthesia nursing, critical care, or another relevant specialty.
