Project Scheduler Role Summary:

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a skilled Project Scheduler to play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

  • Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Create detailed construction schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and update them regularly to reflect project progress and changes.
  • Coordinate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information, assess project requirements, and ensure all team members are informed of schedule expectations and changes.
  • Monitor Project Progress: Track project milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities. Identify potential delays and provide proactive solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, schedule changes, and potential risks.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of project schedules, changes, and progress reports. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate scheduling processes and tools, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Primavera experience required.
  • AACE or PMI professional scheduling certification preferred.

Required General Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in schedule creation and maintenance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
  • Experience in multi-project master scheduling.

Conditions of Employment:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Compensation:

Base salary range $90,000 - $105,000.
