Job Summary

Calpine Corporation, a leading generator of electricity from natural gas and geothermal resources, seeks an experienced Risk Management and Analysis Director to lead its risk management initiatives.


As a key member of the management team, the Risk Management and Analysis Director will be responsible for planning, directing, and administering risk management programs, ensuring the company's risk exposure is effectively managed.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, analysis, and control, with experience in implementing and maintaining risk management procedures and standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and administer risk management programs to minimize risk exposure
  • Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures
  • Coordinate risk management activities with management in other business units
  • Collaborate with energy marketers and traders to incorporate market conditions into risk management strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management, analysis, and control
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
