Job Summary

Flowchem is a leading provider of Drag Reduction Agents (DRA), committed to delivering exceptional service while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will provide financial leadership in the overall planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the company's financial performance. This is a hands-on and highly visible role that requires someone who is strategic, analytical, and collaborative.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing, implementing, and managing financial models for the business.
  • Managing financial analysis procedures, driving the timely reporting of operating results, forecasting future periods, and partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working closely with members of the senior leadership team to ensure that the organization has adequate liquidity to meet financial obligations.
  • Identifying and mitigating business risk through the procurement of insurance products working directly with external partners.

This is an exciting opportunity for an incoming manager to take ownership of the function's vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Builds and manages all financial models as required.
  • Leads the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts working with management to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Analyzes and reports on key financial metrics, including variance and trend analysis.
  • Identifies and implements best practices for planning and reporting, including the use of Power BI, data lakes, and other analytical tools.
  • Manages the consolidation processes.
  • Leads process improvement initiatives and business metrics development.
  • Oversees cash management processes to ensure adequate liquidity for the organization's needs.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reporting packages for presentation to executive management and the board of directors.
  • Owns, defines, and articulates, through detailed financial modeling and presentation, the impacts of capital considerations.
  • Manages the effectiveness, efficiency, and security of key banking relationships to support cash management activities.
  • Administers online banking platforms and ensures adequate controls and segregation of duties.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, treasury, and risk management.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry, strongly preferred.
  • Experience with SAP in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Power BI and data lakes.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning, Blackline, D365 – Microsoft Dynamics; is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, risk management, and cash management practices.
  • Broad finance/accounting knowledge and business acumen to work effectively with internal business partners and executives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to communicate results and recommendations in an effective, concise manner to different target audiences.
  • Demonstrated active listening skills to elicit feedback, required level of data and understanding of data and information.
  • Extraordinary Excel / PowerPoint / financial modeling skills.
  • Comfortable handling unresolved situations, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • High business acumen in understanding the company's core business to ensure alignment with strategy.
  • High integrity, ethics, and work standard.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA is preferred.

Special Demands:

  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly move inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
