SUMMARY:


This position is a senior-level sales role focused on identifying new business opportunities and expanding relationships within established accounts for significant municipal and industrial initiatives.

The individual will act as a Key Account Manager, tasked with driving profitable business growth by building trust and rapport within a designated client portfolio.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:


Deliver exceptional service and reliability to enhance customer retention and foster growth. Seek out new clients within the industrial sector in the assigned territory.

Serve as a knowledgeable resource for clients regarding wastewater compliance, employing consultative selling techniques to educate them about our service offerings and providing unique insights into our operations.

Maintain client relationships throughout project lifecycles, ensuring effective communication with both clients and internal teams. Conduct research to identify potential business lines and target the right customers.

Formulate and execute strategic sales plans for Industrial/Manufacturing sectors and local municipalities, aiding the company in achieving sustainable revenue growth (e.g., comprehensive revenue potential assessments for all sites, analysis of decision-making processes and key stakeholders, weekly activity and revenue growth plans for each account).

Keep an up-to-date CRM sales pipeline by documenting all customer interactions, proposals, and successful project completions in SalesForce.

Effectively propose, negotiate, and finalize profitable revenue opportunities at both existing and new client locations by leveraging strong relationships with senior environmental and operations leaders.

Assess customer requirements, comprehend market dynamics, and ensure appropriate service delivery and pricing strategies. Understand account profitability, value, and potential to devise strategies that maximize profit and enhance market share. Prepare bids and oversee projects, including equipment, labor, subcontractors, and other resources for clients.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Experience in selling to industrial manufacturing facilities and municipal wastewater facilities. Proven success in securing bids within municipal accounts. Background in wastewater treatment and management. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions to evaluate pricing, profitability, and resource requirements for projects. Skilled in managing large, complex projects. Strong business acumen and resilience to navigate customer adjustments and unexpected challenges.

Ability to build credibility and nurture relationships. Experience with CRM systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

5 years of experience in wastewater industrial knowledge preferred. Proven industrial/commercial B-to-B sales experience preferred. Hunter-style sales mentality. Willingness to travel locally within the designated territory - up to 75%. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Solid account management experience.
