Job Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Lead strategy development and execution, profitability, and growth initiatives for the nonprofit sector.
  • Encourage collaboration across service lines to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Review and sign nonprofit entity returns prepared by the team, providing constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Conduct tax research and provide expert advice on various tax matters.
  • Promote teamwork and innovation to improve the client service experience.
  • Mentor and develop engagement teams, offering leadership, coaching, and career guidance.
  • Maintain and demonstrate technical expertise in the field.
  • Seek opportunities to expand leadership roles within the firm through involvement in training, development, and process improvement.


Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with 501(c)(3) organizations, including public charities and private foundations; familiarity with 501(c)(4), 501(c)(5), 501(c)(6), 501(c)(7), and 527 organizations is advantageous.
  • Consulting experience on issues such as stock gifts to private foundations, self-dealing, and applications for exempt status.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or a combination of industry and public accounting, including managing client engagements and supervising project teams.
  • CPA certification is required.
