Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuroscience

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neuroscience team at St. Mary's Health Care System. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Neuroscience will work in a 19-bed unit certified in Spine surgery and the first Certified Thrombectomy Stroke Center in Georgia. This role will involve assessing patients, developing, evaluating, and modifying care plans, and interpreting and performing complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Georgia.
  • Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
  • Prior experience in neuroscience nursing is preferred, but new graduates are also considered.
