Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor with a proven track record in overseeing daily financial operations, including cash handling procedures and ensuring accurate daily revenue reconciliations. As a key member of our finance team, you will work closely with all departments to maintain financial integrity, support reporting needs, and contribute to the overall success of our resort's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily cash operations, including balancing cash drawers, monitoring cash floats, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Oversee and reconcile all cash deposits and ensure timely bank deposits.
  • Enforce internal controls for cash handling across departments.
  • Review and reconcile daily revenue reports, ensuring all income, expenses, and variances are accurately recorded.
  • Work with department managers to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prepare and distribute daily revenue and financial performance reports for management review.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger tasks as needed.
  • Perform month-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for management and ownership.
  • Supervise and train accounting clerks or other team members as assigned.
  • Ensure proper compliance with internal financial policies and external audit requirements.
  • Serve as the accounting liaison with other departments to address financial issues and support operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Requirements:
  • An associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on cash handling and daily reconciliations.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality or resort industry is strongly preferred.
Salary:

$65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
