Job Overview
As a Float Customer Service Representative, you will deliver exceptional and friendly service to both existing and prospective clients. Your role will involve maintaining and nurturing current relationships while also establishing new deposit accounts. You will be instrumental in promoting and cross-selling the bank's diverse range of products and services. This position requires travel between various branches to address staffing shortages.
Key Responsibilities
- Employ the Seven Step Retail Sales Process to foster strong connections with new clients and enhance relationships with existing ones.
- Conduct teller transactions with precision to minimize discrepancies.
- Open consumer and business accounts accurately to uphold operational excellence.
- Embody the core values and mission of the company in all interactions.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of account opening procedures and teller responsibilities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Exhibit sales and service behaviors aligned with the company's core values and profitability goals.
- Deliver impeccable service at every customer interaction point within the branch.
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and leverage strengths to distinguish the bank in the marketplace.
- Contribute to achieving branch performance targets.
- Collaborate with Retail Management, Training, Internal Audit, and Security on compliance matters and process enhancements.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, rates, and services.
- Evaluate customer needs to recommend suitable products and services.
- Refer new business opportunities to other departments such as Mortgage, Credit Cards, and Wealth Management.
- Foster and develop customer loyalty.
- Adhere to work schedules as directed by management.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor and appearance.
- Oversee the tracking and management of all necessary documentation.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
This role requires continuous communication with customers, regular standing, walking, and sitting. You will frequently use your hands for various tasks and may need to lift or move items weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Additional Information
Compliance with all regulatory requirements is essential. Participation in required training related to this position is mandatory, covering topics such as the Bank Secrecy Act, Privacy Act, and US Patriot Act.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of three months of cash handling experience and three months of customer service experience.
Preferred: Previous banking experience is advantageous.
