Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of three years of experience in building and industrial environments, specifically within a consulting engineering design firm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of fire protection engineering tasks, including:

  • Conducting building and life safety code assessments
  • Designing fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and special hazard systems
  • Implementing mass notification systems for various project types, including commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors

The successful applicant will demonstrate a proven track record in design, quality assurance, and construction oversight. In addition to strong technical capabilities, we seek a quick-thinking and adaptable problem-solver who thrives in collaborative team settings under tight deadlines.

Departmental Integration

This role is part of our MEP Engineering Department, which encompasses fire protection, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines. Our in-house capabilities also include structural and civil engineering, as well as architectural services. Our projects vary significantly in scale, ranging from $50,000 to $90 million in construction value, serving State, Federal, Industrial, and Commercial clients.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in Life Safety Code Consulting and Performance-Based Design
  • Strong understanding of building systems and their integration with fire protection systems
  • Successful completion of the FE exam
  • Familiarity with HydraCAD or similar modeling software is advantageous
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus
