About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Hollywood Casino Bangor. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our property's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and non-scheduled repairs, maintenance, and installations of machinery, tools, equipment, and associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the property.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance in conjunction with all building maintenance and cleanliness-related items.
  • Submit requests for expenditures associated with repairs, upkeep, and improvement to the Director of Facilities.
  • Directly or indirectly support all exterior grounds activities, including snow removal, grass cutting, landscaping, the parking garage, and other exterior area needs.
  • Support all sanitation processes and procedures, including rodent and pest control.
  • Perform painting, structural repairs, masonry, woodwork, wallpaper, and treatments, and furnishings of buildings.
  • Perform all Grand Stand maintenance activities.
  • Directly or indirectly support the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and water distribution, including fire suppression and sewerage facilities.
  • Account for OSHA compliance at Hollywood Slots Hotel and Raceway. Will be an active participant of Safety compliance.
  • Implement and monitor controls designed to assure full compliance with all federal, state, corporate, and property laws, policies, and/or mandates.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and positively across departmental lines.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Limited supervisory requirements as assigned.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
  • Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communicating skills.
  • Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for the state in which you reside. In addition to the pre-employment background check, this position will be subject to periodic checks of your driving record in order to determine your continued suitability to drive company and/or patron vehicles.
  • Physical mobility with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel, and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
