Job Title: Regulatory and Compliance Manager

MeriCal, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory and Compliance Manager to oversee our adherence to domestic and international regulations in the food and dietary supplement industry.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our products meet all regulatory requirements, including reviewing and approving product labels, managing compliance audits, and preparing regulatory dossiers. This role will also involve leading the compliance team, interacting with internal departments and external stakeholders, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and manage compliance projects, setting objectives, prioritizing tasks, and conducting research.
  • Interface with internal departments (Marketing, R&D, Sales, Quality), suppliers, customers, and regulatory officials.
  • Oversee day-to-day workflow for the compliance team, ensuring efficient task completion.
  • Review and approve ingredient, nutritional, and handling information on product labels.
  • Research and interpret domestic and international regulations, responding to customer inquiries.
  • Act as the regulatory expert for technical documentation and marketing materials.
  • Manage product registration and certification in international markets.
  • Ensure adherence to FDA regulations and company compliance standards.
  • Provide leadership for product quality and compliance, resolving complex issues and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in food science, nutrition, food law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and dietary supplement labeling, regulatory affairs, or similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of food labeling regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in product development, quality assurance, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and interact with regulatory bodies.
