The Sr. Imaging Services Specialist provides expertise in staff development, education, and quality improvement in the Nuclear Medicine department. This role involves assessing, developing, and implementing competency assessments and continuing education programs. The specialist will work collaboratively with imaging leadership to ensure quality care and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement staff development programs to enhance imaging skills and knowledge
- Assess and evaluate competency assessments and continuing education programs
- Collaborate with imaging leadership to ensure quality care and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop and present orientation programs for new employees
- Develop department and job-specific competencies for imaging employees
- Organize and present radiology-specific in-service programs for staff
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in Nuclear Medicine and/or PET/CT
- Graduate of accredited imaging program
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Knowledge of regulatory/accreditation agency standards
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Two (2) years of clinical education experience in the specialty area
- Pediatrics experience strongly preferred
- One (1) year of mentoring/teaching experience
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and interruptions. The specialist must be able to think critically, work independently, and manage multiple assignments effectively.
