Assistant Property Manager Job Description

Position Overview

Our client, Real Estate Personnel, Inc., is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support their multifamily property management operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a passion for real estate, and the ability to work closely with the property manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-Day Operations: Assist with the administration of multifamily properties, ensuring efficient and effective management.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repairs, ensuring prompt resolution of issues and maintaining a high level of tenant satisfaction.
  • Tenant and Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants and vendors, handling inquiries and requests professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage property budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and effective financial reporting.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Leasing and Financial Reporting: Assist with leasing activities, including renewals and rent collection, and contribute to financial reporting.
  • Vendor Capital Improvements: Monitor and manage vendor capital improvements, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Software Utilization: Effectively utilize property management software for tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in property management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in property management software.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and industry standards.
  • Ability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and tenant satisfaction.
