Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Building Principal

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional accountability for the management and progress of classes.

  • Prepare instructional materials and demonstrate readiness for lessons as requested by supervisors.

  • Guide students towards achieving educational goals, clearly communicating objectives for lessons and projects.

  • Implement the educational philosophy and objectives of the division through effective teaching practices.
  • Select and manage educational resources and maintain inventory records.
  • Regularly evaluate student achievements and provide necessary feedback.
  • Identify students' instructional needs and collaborate with specialists as needed.
  • Administer standardized assessments in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Ensure the safety of students and the integrity of educational materials and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings and committees as required.
  • Support the administration in enforcing policies and rules related to student conduct.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter and effective teaching methodologies.

  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
