Mathematics Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Sussex County Public Schools.

The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching mathematics to high school students, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Provide instruction using various methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
• Stay updated on educational best practices and curriculum standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Teaching certification/licensure in Math or relevant subject area.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of math concepts and curriculum standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students.

Demonstrate overall good health.

Demonstrate ability to communicate in clear, concise manner with others.

8 hours per day, 10 months (200 days)

Evaluation: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Sussex County School Board's policy manual.
