Distribution Center Team Lead

As a key member of the Acushnet team, the Distribution Center Team Lead will provide leadership and direction to associates on assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will ensure associates are productively engaged in their assigned tasks and following approved procedures. This role involves monitoring associate performance and providing training/feedback as required to ensure performance meets standards for productivity, safety, customer service, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct shift start-up meetings, ensure all associates are assigned tasks, and reassign associates between tasks/departments to meet workload requirements/operational priorities.
- Monitor associate performance to ensure standards for productivity, safety, customer service, and teamwork are met.
- Ensure associates exercise proper use and care of facility equipment, material handling systems, and information technology.
- Assist department team leaders in accomplishing the daily distribution mission.
Must have a demonstrated ability to lead teams and/or groups of individuals and work effectively with others. Must have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be capable of providing performance feedback to individuals as well as communicating and leading teams of up to 50 associates and temporary help. Must be comfortable with using computers in completing production tasks and investigating and resolving exceptions. Proven experience with Microsoft Office. Physical tasks will require walking, climbing steps/ladders, working at height, and lifting cartons up to 50 lbs.
Special Credentials/Skills:
- Must pass distribution work ability screening test. Must be able to obtain company forklift operator's license.
