Job Summary

As a member of the Boston Emergency Services Team, the Call Center Clinician plays a critical role in providing telephone screening and intake functions for individuals experiencing psychiatric crisis. This position requires excellent listening skills, ability to diagnose problems, and develop practical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in social work, psychology, education, counseling, or related field, and possess knowledge of referral processes and community resources.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide telephone triage for individuals experiencing psychiatric crisis
- Assist with stabilization, crisis intervention, and referrals to appropriate sources
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to instill confidence and advocate for patients and their family
- Utilize standard software programs used in healthcare, patient registration systems, electronic medical record, and web browsers

Requirements

- Master's Degree in social work, psychology, education, counseling, or related field
- LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC license preferred
- Previous field experience working in emergency psychiatry-related clinical activities preferred
