Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist Job Description

Riverside Health System is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine studies, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform nuclear medicine studies, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies to support quality patient care.
  • Coordinate patient care, perform effective assessment, actions, and documentation, and maintain records of tests conducted, results, and disposition of isotopes and body products containing isotopes.
  • Order, prepare, calibrate, store, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for routine, on-call, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Perform quality control on various instruments and operate radiation detection devices.
Requirements:
  • Nuclear Medicine experience (preferred)
  • Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine (N) certification or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technician (CNMT) certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Inc (NMTCB)
  • CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute
