Job Summary

The City of Peoria, IL is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our Co-Response Unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to the Director and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the unit. Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the Co-Response Unit, including coordinating calendars and scheduling staff shifts
Provide administrative support to the Director and staff, including data entry, filing, and report preparation
Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and visitors, providing excellent customer service
Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring confidentiality and security
Perform other related administrative duties as required

Requirements

One year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; over two years up to and including four years of progressively responsible related experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and data entry software
Strong organizational and time management skills
