The Macon Mayhem is seeking a highly skilled and energetic Public Address Announcer to join our team. As a key member of our game day operations staff, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative announcements to our audience during games.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver clear and concise announcements, including player introductions, in-game updates, and sponsor promotions.
  • Collaborate with game operations staff and production team to ensure seamless execution of game day events.
  • Adhere to all SPHL rules and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to accommodate home games.
  • Present yourself in a professional manner, both in-person and online.
  • Follow instructions and cues from the Director of Operations.
Qualifications
  • Experience in professional speaking, such as public address announcing, radio broadcasting, voice-over talent, public speaking, or theatre performance.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of hockey rules and game situations.
  • High energy and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and as part of a team.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to the organization's core values.
Requirements
  • Availability for all home games during the season.
  • Location in Macon or surrounding areas, allowing for easy commuting.
  • Previous public address experience, including a brief description.
