Position Overview

The role of a Social Services Provider involves delivering essential rehabilitation counseling services, facilitating referrals, and conducting evaluations for clients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting intake assessments for youth clients
  • Leading or executing mental health evaluations for young individuals
  • Offering therapeutic counseling to individuals, groups, or families
  • Collaborating in a treatment team to formulate and oversee effective treatment strategies
  • Preparing and submitting necessary reports and documentation
  • Participating in clinical supervision to improve mental health services

Required Qualifications :

To qualify as a Social Services Provider 1, candidates must possess a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Rehabilitation Counseling, Professional Counseling, or a Master's in Education Counseling. Additionally, eligibility for counselor licensure in Georgia is required.
OR

For Social Services Provider 2, a Master's degree in the aforementioned fields along with a minimum of two years of relevant postgraduate experience is necessary. Licensure as a counselor in Georgia is also mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications :

A Master's degree in a mental health discipline that qualifies for licensure by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists is preferred, along with the appropriate state licensure.
