Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Student Life Counselor to join our team at The Seed School of Los Angeles County. As a key member of our student life team, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive living environment within our residence halls, fostering positive relationships with students, and providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a direct caregiver for students within an assigned dorm and act as their primary advocate
- Create a productive and interactive environment within the residence halls
- Monitor and supervise students during main hours of the Student Life Program
- Communicate with families regarding students' progress and concerns
- Nurture each student consistent with guidelines outlined in the Student Life Program
- Teach social, self-help, lifelong learning, and basic life skills and facilitate student leisure and recreational activities
- Develop weekly lesson plans from the school selected curriculum to empower students to embody CASEL 5 Core Competencies
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in social sciences or related fields and 1-2 years of direct experience in adolescent development, residential/boarding education, teaching, or related fields. Experience working with diverse student populations in an urban setting is also required. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential. A commitment to equity, leadership, and data-driven results is necessary. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to create and implement routines and rituals to ensure student achievement.
Benefits:
