This role involves working on shipboard construction and modernization within shipyards and drydocks, specifically on U.S. Naval vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize appropriate welding techniques to fabricate, repair, or join metal components and other materials.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering sketches, and work orders to execute tasks effectively.
- Mark and layout points on parts or subassemblies using various tools such as rules, squares, and templates.
- Employ measuring instruments and hand tools to position components accurately in jigs and fixtures.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Adhere to established safety protocols during all operations.
- Engage in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Work Environment:
On-site at customer locations
Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship is mandatory
