Chair of Psychiatry

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chair of Psychiatry to lead our Department of Psychiatry. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services that align with our mission and strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the recruitment, supervision, and development of mental health staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Develop, implement, and monitor clinical programs and services to improve patient outcomes and services.
- Coordinate and integrate inter and intra departmental activities to improve the coordination of care and services.
- Monitor the professional competence of medical staff and take appropriate action when indicated.
- Communicate clearly with Departmental leadership, faculty, and staff to outline roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards at all times.
- Develop and execute Performance Improvement initiatives within the Department.
- Manage the fiscal viability of clinical services, including budget, expenses, and revenue.
- Ensure effective management and resolution of department-specific patient complaints, emergency situations, and critical events.
- Manage optimal training experience for trainees in the Department.
- MD Degree with Board Certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry or Psychiatry.
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
- New York Medical License.

- Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills.
