Job Description

Overview

The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chair of Psychiatry to lead our Department of Psychiatry. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical programs and services that improve patient care outcomes and services.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of clinical programs and services in the Department of Psychiatry.
  • Lead the Department of Psychiatry in achieving its strategic goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and services provided by the Department of Psychiatry.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the medical staff within the Department of Psychiatry.
  • Communicate effectively with Departmental leadership, faculty, and staff to outline roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Ensure effective management and resolution of department-specific patient complaints, emergency situations, and critical events.
  • Manage optimal training experience for trainees in the department.

Qualifications

  • MD Degree with Board Certification in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry or Psychiatry.
  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
  • New York Medical License.
  • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills.
  • A strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven Health System.

Salary and Benefits

Mount Sinai Health System offers a competitive salary range of $300,000 to $400,000 (not including bonuses/incentive compensation or benefits). We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
